In January of 2018 the Walsh family was honored to continue the tradition of a Celtic shop in Louisville, Kentucky. The history of a Celtic retail store in Louisville, KY began over forty years ago when Martha and Gerry Ford opened the Harp and Shamrock on Shelbyville Road in east Louisville. Martha continues to work with us in the shop greeting customers old and new.
Once the papers were signed the entire Walsh family, John and Denise plus their children Erin, Sean and Caitlyn set about remodeling, updating and restocking the shop in order to be ready for that first Saint Patrick’s Day. Thanks to the hard work of many people the shop was remodeled, restocked and ready to share with the community.
Walsh’s Celtic Center opened for business March 1, 2018.

is to offer the community the highest quality Celtic made goods. We feature a unique array of products that we personally select. We showcase a large selection of Celtic jewelry in gold and silver ranging from traditional Claddagh rings to a selection of beautiful Celtic wedding bands. Other products include men’s and women’s clothing highlighted by the fine wool sweaters, capes, scarves and hats. But wait there is more! Tartan ties and scarves, custom made kilts and accessories, china, crystal, Irish made handbags and purses, religious and inspirational items, T-shirts and other unique gift items that you can only find at Walsh’s. Plus keep your cupboard stocked with a selection of Irish/Scottish food and candy to satisfy your need for a taste of home!
